Thank you, Mari

I’m writing these blogs to share with you my personal thoughts on judo and the journey in life. Over the past 30+ years I have had the privilege to walk this journey in life with an amazing woman. Recently we have faced some of our greatest challenges, but we have also drawn closer than ever. Of course, she still scolds (I mean, gently corrects) me when I forget or say something stupid. There is a deeper love for each other and a greater commitment to doing the work of the ministry for the Lord. As we build this new dojo, Mari has devoted countless hours in building the infrastructure, communicating with the members and supporters, and providing leadership and wisdom. This is more than just a judo club to her. It is a ministry that we serve the Lord together as a couple and family. I am grateful for her heart to serve. We have many more plans to grow and to reach out. Stay tuned for out-of-the-box ideas, God willing, on the near horizon. By the way, the picture is Mari throwing tai-otoshi. Nice form!!!
